Hello, Disney fans!

Zenfinity Disney Resort Update

Week of June 22–29, 2026

Pride Nite has wrapped, Celebrate Soulfully is in full swing at Downtown Disney, and Soarin' Over California is in its very final week. Summer at Disneyland just keeps giving. 🏰☀️

🎉 THE BIG PICTURE THIS WEEK

With Pride Nite now in the rearview mirror — both nights on June 16 and 18 were, by all accounts, an absolutely beautiful celebration — Disneyland Resort settles into a quieter, sun-soaked stretch of summer. That does not mean things have slowed down, though. A brand-new community celebration just launched at Downtown Disney. Soarin' Over California has entered its final countdown. And the resort continues to enjoy the freedom of anytime park hopping, which is already changing how guests move through their days. Quick note for planning purposes: Pride Nite was Disneyland's final After Dark event of the year — the next ticketed evening event on the calendar is Oogie Boogie Bash beginning August 18. So this stretch of summer is all about daytime magic, festival energy at Downtown Disney, and soaking in everything the parks have to offer before the Halloween season takes over.

🎶 CELEBRATE SOULFULLY: SUMMER VIBES IS HERE AT DOWNTOWN DISNEY!

Following last week's wonderful Disney On the Yard — Yardfest debut, Downtown Disney has launched into an extended celebration: Celebrate Soulfully: Summer Vibes runs from June 19 through July 19 at the Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage. This is a full month of community-centered programming celebrating Black culture, music, and joy — completely free, no park ticket required.

Throughout the run, expect live musical performances, community programming, and the same warm, celebratory energy that made Yardfest such a hit on opening night. This is shaping up to be one of the best free entertainment offerings Downtown Disney has hosted all year, and it runs every weekend through mid-July. Check the Disneyland app for the most current performance schedule before you head out, since lineups can shift week to week. If you have not yet experienced the energy of the Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage this summer, this is the perfect excuse.

✈️ SOARIN' OVER CALIFORNIA — THIS IS LITERALLY YOUR LAST WEEK!

We are not going to bury this one: Soarin' Over California closes for good on June 30, and this is genuinely your final full week to ride it. The attraction returned all the way back on February 6 as part of Disney California Adventure's 25th anniversary celebration, and it has had one of the longest limited-time runs in recent memory — even outlasting the entire DCA Food & Wine Festival. But all good things end, and June 30 is the day.

Here is something we just learned that is going to make your planning even easier: Disney has confirmed there will be only a single day of downtime between versions. Soarin' Over California flies its last flight on June 30, and Soarin' Across America officially opens July 2 — meaning the attraction barely skips a beat. That is great news for ride availability, but it does NOT change the fact that this is your last chance to glide above the California coastline, the redwoods, and those famous orange groves. If you have a trip planned before June 30, prioritize this ride. If you don't — well, that is exactly why we are telling you now.

🇺🇸 COMING JULY 2 — WHAT TO EXPECT FROM SOARIN' ACROSS AMERICA

While we say goodbye to the California version, it is worth getting genuinely excited about what is replacing it. Soarin' Across America debuts July 2 as part of Disney's nationwide celebration of America's 250th anniversary, and Walt Disney Imagineering has been capturing more than a dozen real-world locations to bring the new flight to life.

Based on everything revealed so far, expect to soar above the rugged New England coastline, the radiant welcome of New York Harbor, the vast expanse of Grand Canyon West, the autumn colors of the American heartland, the beauty of Southern bayous, the great plains of the West, northern wilderness, and sunlit island shores. As with every version of Soarin', the experience combines the flight, the visuals, the orchestral score, and even scent effects synced to each scene. Walt Disney Imagineering Portfolio Executive Creative Director Tom Fitzgerald described the goal as creating an emotional portrait of the nation for its Semiquincentennial celebration — and based on the concept art shared so far, this is shaping up to be one of the most visually ambitious versions of Soarin' that Disney has ever produced.

The celebration culminates over the Fourth of July weekend with Disney Celebrates America, a 24-hour multi-platform broadcast across Disney+, Hulu, ABC, ESPN, Freeform, FX, and National Geographic, capped with a special evening fireworks broadcast from both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World. This is a genuinely big moment in Disney Parks history, and it is happening right here in Anaheim.

🎢 ATTRACTIONS — CLOSURES, REOPENINGS & WHAT TO KNOW

Current Closure Snapshot

Here is the complete refurbishment picture heading into this week. Check the Disneyland app the morning of your visit for the most current status:

·       Pirates of the Caribbean — Still closed since May 4, return date still not officially announced

·       Silly Symphony Swings (DCA) — Closed since April 27, no return date announced

·       King Arthur Carrousel — Closed since June 6, no return date announced

·       Frontierland Shootin' Exposition — Closed since June 6, no return date announced

·       Soarin' Over California — Closes for good June 30, transitions to Soarin' Across America July 2

The good news continues to outweigh the closures — Indiana Jones, Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, Matterhorn, Galaxy's Edge, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Radiator Springs Racers, Incredicoaster, Toy Story Midway Mania, Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind, Grizzly River Run, Jungle Cruise, the Monorail, Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin, and the Millennium Falcon are all open and running beautifully this week.

Space Mountain — Back to Its Classic Self

A quick programming note for thrill-seekers: the Hyperspace Mountain overlay wrapped its seasonal run on June 1, and Space Mountain has been back to its classic, beloved dark-coaster self ever since. If you are someone who prefers the original near-darkness speed experience over the Star Wars projection overlay, this is great news — the classic version is what you will find running through the rest of the summer.

Park Hopping Anytime — Settling Into the New Normal

Two full weeks into the new park hopping policy, guest feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. The ability to move between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure at any time of day — rather than waiting until 11 AM — continues to be one of the most talked-about quality-of-life improvements at the resort in years. If you have not yet experienced a hop day under the new rules, this summer is a perfect time to plan one.

🗝️ MAGIC KEY — RENEWAL CARD, SUMMER SAVINGS & OOGIE BOOGIE STATUS

Renewal Dining Card — Still Active Through May 2027

The Magic Key renewal dining card remains active for on-time renewals made through May 26, 2027. Renew your pass and receive a complimentary Disney Dining Card based on tier: Inspire Key $100, Believe Key $75, Explore Key $50, Imagine Key $25. The card is emailed within 72 hours of renewal and works at participating resort dining locations — remembering, as always, that it is not valid at Downtown Disney District restaurants.

Summer Hotel Discount — Booking Window Closes August 25

Magic Key holders can still save up to 20% on select Sunday through Thursday hotel stays through September 7, 2026. General guests can save up to 25% on premium rooms at the Grand Californian, Disneyland Hotel, and Villas, and up to 15% at Pixar Place Hotel. The Magic Key booking window remains open through August 25 — if a summer overnight stay is anywhere on your radar, now is a smart time to lock it in before peak-summer rates and availability tighten further.

Oogie Boogie Bash — Tickets Still Available

With general public sales now live since June 18, Oogie Boogie Bash 2026 tickets remain available for most of the 33 nights between August 18 and October 31. October 31 — the only Saturday date on the calendar — is expected to sell out fastest, along with early September weekend nights. Early-to-mid August dates remain your best bet for a lower-key, less crowded Bash experience. Check Disneyland.com for current availability.

🏰 DOWNTOWN DISNEY — CELEBRATE SOULFULLY, SUMMER DINING & TRANSFORMATION UPDATE

Downtown Disney is having an absolutely wonderful summer. Between Celebrate Soulfully programming at the LIVE! Stage and the steady stream of guests enjoying the District thanks to easier park hopping, this corner of the resort is buzzing with energy day and night.

Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio remains the ideal warm-evening dinner spot, Salt & Straw's rotating seasonal flavors continue to impress, and World of Disney is fully stocked with 70th Celebration Finale Collection pieces alongside the latest summer resort merchandise. A reminder that Jamba closes permanently on July 5, just over a week away, to make way for the incoming Bopo Go! boba and bubble tea concept — if a nostalgic Jamba smoothie run is part of your Downtown Disney routine, this is genuinely your final stretch to enjoy it.

The broader District transformation continues to build steadily, with Earl of Sandwich's permanent two-story flagship and Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby both progressing toward their eventual openings, alongside Arthur & Sons Steak and Bourbon and Pearl's Roadside BBQ still in development.

🏨 RESORT HOTELS — SUMMER PERKS WORTH KNOWING ABOUT

The summer hotel discount offers remain in full effect for anyone still planning a resort stay this season. GCH Craftsman Bar at the Grand Californian continues to serve its summer cocktail menu in one of the most beautiful settings at the entire resort, and Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel remains a wonderfully reliable character dining choice for families visiting this summer. If a hotel stay is part of your plans before fall arrives, this is a great window to book — popular summer weekends will only get tighter as Oogie Boogie Bash approaches in August.

🛍️ MERCHANDISE — SOARIN' FAREWELL, 70TH FINALE & SUMMER FINDS

Soarin' Over California Farewell Merchandise — Final Days

With the attraction closing for good on June 30, commemorative merchandise celebrating Soarin' Over California's limited return remains available now at select DCA shops. Once the attraction transitions to Soarin' Across America on July 2, this merchandise will not be restocked. If a keepsake from this beloved limited-time run is on your list, this week is the time to shop for it.

70th Anniversary Finale Collection — Still Available

The Disneyland 70th Anniversary Finale Collection — Swarovski crystal ear headbands, Spirit Jersey, deep purple apparel — remains available at Elias & Co., World of Disney, and select resort shops while supplies last. With the celebration wrapping August 9, this collection continues to be the last major merchandise push of the entire anniversary year.

Soarin' Across America Merchandise — Expected Soon

With the new attraction debuting July 2, expect a fresh wave of Soarin' Across America merchandise to roll out at DCA shops in the days surrounding the opening. Given the Americana, 250th-anniversary theming, expect patriotic colors, landmark-inspired designs, and likely some specialty pins celebrating the new flight. We will have full details as soon as the collection is revealed.
