🍌 Savannah Bananas, Bluey, and a Major Ride Reopening

What’s new, what’s reopening, and what’s closing soon.

Hello, Disney fans

✨Disneyland Resort Weekly Update

March 21–27, 2026

A brand-new show has taken over Fantasyland.
Festival crowds are filling Disney California Adventure.
And a certain baseball team is about to bring pure chaos to the parks.

Welcome to another week around:

  • Disneyland Park

  • Disney California Adventure Park

  • Downtown Disney District

This week’s theme: new experiences, returning attractions, and some very fun surprises.

Estimated read time: 6–7 minutes

🐾 The Headliner

Bluey Has Officially Arrived at Disneyland

After weeks of anticipation, “Bluey’s Best Day Ever!” officially opened March 22 at the Fantasyland Theatre — and the energy around it has been incredible.

The theater has been transformed into Glasshouse Primary School, the setting from the beloved animated series.

Instead of a traditional stage show, guests step into an interactive play environment filled with details from the show.

What You’ll See Inside

  • A life-size Gnome Village

  • A whimsical Fairy Garden

  • Barky Boats races

  • The famous helicopter stump from the show

The entry area is even decorated with playful references to episodes like Stumpfest, as if Bluey and Bingo themselves helped design the place.

The Show Experience

The main stage performance runs about 30–40 minutes and includes:

  • Bluey and Bingo on stage

  • A live five-piece band performing songs from the show

  • Comedy actors interacting with the audience

  • Kids dancing along to songs like Who Likes to Dance?

One surprise scene-stealer: Chattermax, whose appearances have been getting some of the loudest cheers from the crowd.

A colorful Fantasyland cavalcade featuring giant inflatable versions of Jack, MacKenzie, Indy, Honey, and Rusty also appears nearby during the day.

Crowd Tip

Opening weekend crowds were huge.

Lines for the experience stretched toward the Esplanade by mid-morning, so your best strategy is to:

  • Check showtimes in the Disneyland app

  • Head there early in the day

🍽 Bluey Snacks Worth the Trip

The themed food menu at Troubadour Tavern is surprisingly great — and it’s already becoming one of the most talked-about snack spots in the park.

🥞 Poffertjes! Poffertjes! — $7.99

Mini Dutch pancakes topped with:

  • Buttered condensed milk

  • Powdered sugar

Soft, fluffy, and dangerously easy to finish in about thirty seconds.

🍓 Pavlova Parfait — $7.99

A layered dessert with:

  • Meringue bites

  • Vanilla yogurt mousse

  • Fresh berries

Light, sweet, and extremely photogenic.

🥔 Pizza Girls Baked Potato — $12.29

A hearty option featuring:

  • Alfredo sauce

  • Marinara

  • Cheese and toppings

Great for sharing if you need a more filling snack between rides.

🥨 Magic “Asparagus” Pretzel — $3.99

A playful white-chocolate coated pretzel rod that looks like asparagus.

Simple, cute, and easy to snack on while walking the park.

☕ Mud Cake Cold Brew — $7.79

Rich chocolate flavors mixed with cold brew coffee.

Perfect for an afternoon pick-me-up.

💡 Good to know:
Troubadour Tavern now uses proximity-based mobile ordering, meaning you must physically be near the restaurant before placing your order.

🎢 Attraction Watch

Disney California Adventure

🌊 Grizzly River Run Returns

After closing for seasonal maintenance in January, Grizzly River Run is reopening March 27.

This ride is famous for soaking riders completely, so prepare accordingly.

Pro tip: ride late afternoon when temperatures are warmer.

✈️ Soarin’ Over California Still Flying

The nostalgic version of Soarin’ continues its limited return through July 1, 2026, celebrating the park’s 25th anniversary.

Many longtime fans consider this version the best version of the ride.

Temporary Closures

  • Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind — temporarily closed

  • Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes — operating weekends only through March 27

Disneyland Park

Closures Coming Soon

Two classic attractions close for refurbishment on March 30:

  • Disneyland Monorail

Neither attraction currently has a reopening date announced.

If these rides are on your must-do list, ride them before Sunday.

🍌 One of the Wildest Events of the Year

Savannah Bananas Take Over Disneyland

The wildly entertaining baseball team the Savannah Bananas returns to the Disneyland Resort on March 26, and they’re bringing their signature high-energy chaos with them.

This year the event expands into both parks.

At Disneyland Park

  • Performance at Sleeping Beauty Castle – 10:00 AM

  • Savannah Bananas Cavalcade – 12:30 PM

At Disney California Adventure

A performance will take place in Paradise Gardens Park near the World of Color viewing area.

Meet & Greet Strategy

Fans must join a virtual queue in the Disneyland app at 9:00 AM.

These boarding groups fill almost instantly.

Banana-Inspired Food

Disney chefs leaned fully into the theme.

Look for:

  • Walking Banana Pudding

  • Frozen Banoffee Banana

  • Banana-Hazelnut Mickey Waffles

  • Banana Chocolate Shake at Jazz Kitchen

  • “Caged Bird” cocktail with banana foam

Yes — it’s a very banana-heavy week.
