Hello, Disney fans!
✨ Zenfinity Disney Resort Update
Week of May 25 – June 1, 2026
Park hopping is about to get a whole lot more freeing, Trader Sam's is throwing a tiki party, summer is officially in full swing, and the parks are buzzing with Memorial Day energy. Let's do this. 🏰
— — —
🎉 THE BIG PICTURE THIS WEEK
Memorial Day weekend has officially launched summer at the Disneyland Resort, and the energy across both parks is exactly what you would expect when Anaheim gets warm, the days get long, and families from all over California descend on the Happiest Place on Earth. There is a lot happening this week — a beloved hotel bar is celebrating fifteen years with new food, drinks, and a collectible mug. The biggest park hopping policy change in six years is just around the corner. New summer dining options are landing across the resort. And the Millennium Falcon's brand-new storyline is officially up and running and everything early guests are saying about it is wonderful. Summer 2026 at Disneyland is going to be a very good time.
🎉 THE BIGGEST NEWS OF THE WEEK — PARK HOPPING CHANGES FOREVER ON JUNE 9!
This is the policy change Disneyland fans have been waiting for since the pandemic-era reopening rules first went into effect back in 2021. Starting June 9, 2026, the 11 AM park hopping restriction is officially gone — and Park Hopper ticket holders and Magic Key passholders will be able to move freely between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure at any time of day, from the moment the parks open.
What Is Actually Changing
Right now — including this entire week through June 8 — the current rule still applies: guests must wait until 11 AM before hopping to the other park. Starting June 9, that restriction disappears completely. Here is exactly what the new policy looks like:
· Park Hopper ticket holders and Magic Key passholders can enter either park at any time, starting from park opening — no waiting until 11 AM
· You still need to make a park reservation and select a starting park when booking — that requirement is not going away
· You no longer need to physically tap into your designated starting park before hopping to the other — a big quality-of-life improvement for early-morning planners
· Park hopping remains subject to capacity — if a park is at maximum capacity, incoming park hoppers may be temporarily paused until space becomes available
· One practical tip: if you enter a park and then hop within about 20 to 30 minutes, you may be briefly stopped at the second gate while Cast Members confirm your ticket was not used by someone else. It resolves quickly but plan for a brief moment at the turnstile
Why This Matters
This is genuinely a significant change for how guests can experience the resort. Families who want to start their morning at Radiator Springs Racers before rope-drop crowds build can now head straight to DCA first, then cross to Disneyland later — without any time restriction. Date-night visitors who want to catch an early Fantasmic! and then walk over to World of Color have total flexibility. Locals with Magic Keys who want to pop in for a few hours across both parks have never had more freedom to do exactly that. June 9 is a great day to be a Disneyland fan.
This Week — The Old Rule Is Still in Effect
To be crystal clear for any readers heading to the parks between now and June 8: the 11 AM rule is still fully in place this week. Do not show up at 9 AM expecting to hop — you will need to wait until 11. June 9 is the magic date. Mark it, share it, and plan your next trip around it.
🍹 TRADER SAM'S ENCHANTED TIKI BAR — 15 YEARS OF MAGIC, MAYHEM & MEMORABLE MUGS
Here is the most delightful resort story of the week: Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel is celebrating its 15th anniversary starting May 25, and Disney is marking the occasion in true Trader Sam style — with new food, new drinks, theatrical surprises, and a collectible mug that is already on every tiki bar fan's must-buy list.
The New 15th Anniversary Mug
The centerpiece of the celebration is a brand-new limited-edition 15th Anniversary Tiki Mug — sculpted, hand-painted, and available exclusively at Trader Sam's while supplies last. No discounts apply and quantities are limited, so if you want one, plan to visit early in the anniversary period. Trader Sam's collectible mugs have a long history of selling out quickly, and this milestone edition is no exception. The bar's mugs are genuinely some of the most coveted resort collectibles around — they come with their own in-bar theatrical experience when ordered as a drink, which is half the fun.
New Anniversary Food & Drinks
The 15th anniversary celebration brings new limited-time menu additions to complement the milestone mug. New food offerings include a Tiki-themed flatbread and a Coconut Shrimp Skewer with a sweet chili dipping sauce that sound perfectly suited to the warm, tiki-bar-at-golden-hour energy of the space. On the drinks side, the new Trader's 15th Anniversary Cocktail — a tropical rum blend with passion fruit, pineapple, and a float of aged rum — is already being called one of the most beautifully presented drinks the bar has offered in recent memory. The anniversary menu runs through the summer while supplies last.
A Quick Reminder of Why Trader Sam's is So Special
For anyone who has never experienced Trader Sam's — and if that is you, please fix this immediately — it is not just a bar. It is a fully immersive, theatrically enhanced tiki experience where ordering certain drinks triggers actual in-bar effects: lights flash, the room shakes, props animate, and the entire space reacts around you. It is one of the most unique dining and drinking experiences anywhere at a Disney resort property, and the 15th anniversary is a genuinely good reason to finally get that reservation you have been putting off. Book through the Disneyland app — walk-up availability is limited, especially on weekends.
🎢 ATTRACTIONS — WHAT'S RUNNING, WHAT'S NOT & WHAT TO KNOW
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run — Early Guest Reviews Are In
The Mandalorian and Grogu storyline officially launched last Friday, May 22, and the early reviews from guests who have already flown the new mission are overwhelmingly enthusiastic. The crew vote mechanic — where your group decides between Endor, Coruscant, and Bespin as your second destination — is being praised as genuinely exciting and replayable in a way the original mission never quite achieved. The Coruscant sequence in particular is earning superlatives from Star Wars fans who grew up with the prequel era. And the Bespin run through Cloud City is being called visually stunning.
A practical heads-up: wait times for Smugglers Run have been significantly elevated since the new storyline debuted, with waits routinely exceeding 60 to 90 minutes during peak hours. Rope drop, Lightning Lane, or an early evening visit are your best strategies for the next few weeks while demand is highest.
Current Closure Snapshot
Here is where things stand on refurbishments heading into this week:
· Pirates of the Caribbean — Still closed since May 4, anticipated return late June or early July
· Blue Bayou Restaurant — Open as of May 21 with modified dining experience while Pirates is under refurbishment
· Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters — Closed since April 13, no return date announced
· Silly Symphony Swings (DCA) — Closed since April 27, no return date announced
· Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind (DCA) — Still unexpectedly closed, no visibility on return
All major headliners are running — Indiana Jones, Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, Matterhorn, Galaxy's Edge, Radiator Springs Racers, Incredicoaster, Toy Story Midway Mania, Grizzly River Run, Jungle Cruise, Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin, and the Monorail are all open and operating. Check the Disneyland app on the morning of your visit for the most current status.
Memorial Day Weekend Crowd Reality Check
Memorial Day weekend — May 23 through May 26 — is one of the busiest stretches of the entire year at the Disneyland Resort. If you are visiting this weekend, go in with eyes wide open: rope drop is essential, Lightning Lane Multi Pass is worth every penny, and mobile ordering everything in advance will save you significant time. The best strategy on a high-crowd day is always to hit your must-do rides in the first two hours after opening and then slow down into experiences, dining, and shows as afternoon crowds peak.
Grad Nite — Ongoing Through June 12
Grad Nite events continue on select evenings at Disney California Adventure through June 12, with the park closing at 9 PM on those specific nights to accommodate the after-hours student events. Disneyland Park is not affected on Grad Nite evenings. Check the Disneyland app for exact dates — DCA on a Grad Nite evening has a noticeably different crowd energy, so knowing in advance helps you plan accordingly.
🍽️ FOOD & DINING — SUMMER EATS, ANNIVERSARY BITES & RESORT FAVORITES
New Summer Items Worth Tracking Down
Beyond the Trader Sam's anniversary menu, the resort's culinary team has been rolling out summer-ready items across both parks. The Orange Cream Cheesecake at Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe — bright citrus cheesecake topped with vanilla Chantilly cream and orange crunch — is perfectly calibrated for warm Anaheim afternoons. The Aguachile Verde at Lamplight Lounge — hamachi with cucumber, pickled pearl onions, avocado, spiced mayo, and tostadas — is one of the most genuinely sophisticated new menu additions to land at DCA this season and is absolutely worth a reservation.
The Strawberry Minnie Cake at Plaza Inn continues to be one of the most photographed desserts at the resort — a strawberry bundt cake with fresh strawberries, white chocolate mousse, and Minnie-shaped chocolate ears that is as delicious as it is adorable. And at Pym Test Kitchen in Avengers Campus, the Philly Cheesesteak Grilled Cheese remains a consistently strong lunch option that has earned its way onto the permanent recommendation list.
Blue Bayou — Open Again, With One Important Note
Blue Bayou Restaurant is open as of May 21 and reservations are available through the Disneyland app. The important thing to know for guests booking right now: Pirates of the Caribbean is still under refurbishment, which means the bayou views into the ride are obstructed and the boats are not floating past your table. The food, the candlelit ambiance, the Spanish moss, and the general romance of the space are all very much intact — but the full bayou immersion experience will not be completely restored until Pirates returns. If the complete classic experience is what you are after, it may be worth waiting until Pirates reopens before booking.
🏰 DOWNTOWN DISNEY — SUMMER VIBES, FREE ENTERTAINMENT & BIG CHANGES AHEAD
Downtown Disney is humming with summer energy right now, and the Monorail connection to the park makes it more convenient than ever as a pre or post-park destination. Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio is ideal for a warm-weather dinner. Salt & Straw's summer menu is turning out creative seasonal flavors worth a dedicated stop. And Beignets Expressed continues to be one of the most reliably joyful quick snack experiences anywhere in the resort area.
Disney+ Throwback Dance Party — Final Two Weekends!
The Disney+ Throwback Dance Party at the Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage is entering its final two weekends — wrapping up for good on June 7. Free DJ sets run every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at Noon, 1 PM, 2 PM, and 3 PM. High School Musical, Hannah Montana, The Cheetah Girls, Camp Rock, The Descendants, ZOMBIES — all of it, all free, all under the open sky. If you have been meaning to catch this one all spring, this weekend and next weekend are your absolute last chances.
Downtown Disney Transformation — What's Coming
The ongoing transformation of Downtown Disney continues to build toward what is going to be one of the best free entertainment and dining districts in Southern California. Here is the current status of what is in development:
· Earl of Sandwich — Permanent two-story flagship location, construction nearly complete
· Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby — 1960s British gastropub on the second floor above Earl of Sandwich; hiring was underway in spring 2026
· Arthur & Sons Steak and Bourbon — Full-service steakhouse from Michelin-starred Chef Joe Isidori in the former Tortilla Joe's space
· Pearl's Roadside BBQ — Quick-service smoked meats concept
· Bopo Go! — Boba and bubble tea in the former Jamba location; Jamba's final day is July 5
· Porto's Bakery — Construction underway, still in early stages

🛍️ MERCHANDISE — 70TH FINALE COLLECTION & SUMMER FINDS
70th Anniversary Finale Collection — Available Now Through August 9

The 70th Celebration ends August 9, and this Finale Collection is the last major merchandise push of the entire anniversary year. These items will not be restocked once they sell through. If the crystal ears are on your list — do not wait.
Trader Sam's 15th Anniversary Mug — Limited Availability
The limited-edition 15th Anniversary Tiki Mug at Trader Sam's is available now while supplies last. No discounts apply, limit per transaction rules are in effect, and these mugs have a long history of selling out. Visit Trader Sam's early in the anniversary period for the best chance at securing one. A reservation at the bar is strongly recommended — walk-up availability on weekends is very limited.
Lingering Star Wars Items — Shop While You Can
Remaining Star Wars season items — including the Mandalorian & Grogu May the 4th Logo Collection, the Salvaged Protocol Droid Bucket, and the Bantha Sipper novelty — are still available at World of Disney and select park retail locations while supplies last. Star Wars merchandise moves steadily in the weeks following May 4. If there's a piece you have been meaning to pick up, now is the right time.
