✨ Zenfinity Disney Resort Update
Week of June 8–15, 2026

🎉 THE BIG PICTURE THIS WEEK
Disneyland fans, this is one of those weeks where the news just keeps coming and every single story is worth reading. Today — Monday, June 9 — is the day the park hopping rule that has been in place since 2021 officially ends. Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters reopens Friday after nearly two months of refurbishment. Paint the Night and Wondrous Journeys just had their runs extended past the end of the 70th Celebration — which is genuinely big news for summer visitors. Oogie Boogie Bash 2026 just dropped its most exciting entertainment reveal in years, with ticket sales beginning this week. And Pride Nite kicks off tomorrow night. There is a lot happening and all of it is worth your full attention. Let's get into every detail.
🎉 IT'S OFFICIAL — PARK HOPPING ANYTIME STARTS TODAY, JUNE 9!
The day is finally here. As of this morning, June 9, 2026, the 11 AM park hopping restriction that has shaped how guests experience the Disneyland Resort for the past five years is officially, permanently gone. Park Hopper ticket holders and Magic Key passholders can now move freely between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure at any time of day — from the very moment the parks open.
The Full New Policy at a Glance
Here is exactly how it works starting today:
· Hop between Disneyland Park and DCA at any time of day from park opening — no waiting until 11 AM
· Park reservations and a designated starting park are still required when booking — that part has not changed
· You no longer need to tap into your starting park before hopping — a true quality-of-life upgrade for morning planners
· Park hopping remains subject to capacity — if one park hits maximum attendance, incoming hoppers may experience a brief hold at the gate
· Quick tip: if you enter a park and hop within about 20 to 30 minutes, you may be briefly paused at the second turnstile while Cast Members verify your ticket. It resolves fast but factor that in when planning a quick early-morning switch
The strategic possibilities for savvy guests are genuinely exciting. Rope drop at Radiator Springs Racers, then Matterhorn by 9 AM? Yes. Breakfast on Main Street followed by Incredicoaster before the lines build? Absolutely. For Magic Key holders who love popping between parks on a lunch break, this change transforms the entire resort experience. June 9, 2026 is a genuinely great day for the Disneyland Resort.
🌈 PRIDE NITE IS TOMORROW — JUNE 10... WAIT, CHECK YOUR TICKETS!
Quick clarification: Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite takes place on Tuesday, June 16 and Thursday, June 18 — not this week, but next week. We wanted to flag this because excitement is running high and some guests have been mixing up the dates. If you have tickets, double-check that you are looking at June 16 or June 18 in your Disneyland app. The event runs 9 PM to 1 AM with a 6 PM mix-in for ticket holders. Tickets are still available at $169 per person on the Disneyland website — but availability is shrinking fast. If Pride Nite is on your summer list and you have not yet purchased, now is genuinely your last window.
A reminder of what awaits: exclusive Pride Nite fireworks spectacular, a character cavalcade led by Clarabelle Cow, DJ stations throughout the park, rainbow projections on Sleeping Beauty Castle, the 2026 exclusive hoodie, tumbler and trading pin collection, unlimited PhotoPass downloads, the new Santa Maria tri-tip sandwich at Hungry Bear, pulled mushroom and jackfruit loaded fries, and the Tapestry of Magic projection show on It's a Small World expected at 10:45 PM and midnight. One of the most joyful events on the entire Disneyland calendar. Go.
🚀 BUZZ LIGHTYEAR ASTRO BLASTERS RETURNS — THIS FRIDAY, JUNE 12!
To infinity, and back to Tomorrowland! Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters officially reopens this Friday, June 12, after a nearly two-month closure that began April 13. The scope of the work during this refurbishment has not been formally announced by Disney — so we are heading back in with cautious excitement and hoping for some meaningful upgrades to targets and gameplay when the blasters power back up on Friday.
The timing is not accidental: Toy Story 5 hits theaters June 19, one week after Buzz comes back online. Disneyland is clearly positioning the Tomorrowland classic to capture all the Buzz and Woody energy the new film is about to generate. Get your scoring strategy ready — the leaderboard is back in business Friday morning.
✨ HUGE NEWS — PAINT THE NIGHT & WONDROUS JOURNEYS EXTENDED TO AUGUST 20!
This is the kind of news that makes summer trip planning a lot more exciting, and it genuinely caught the Disney fan community by surprise this week. Both Paint the Night Parade and Wondrous Journeys Fireworks — the two crown jewels of the Disneyland 70th Anniversary entertainment lineup — have been officially extended past the end of the 70th Celebration.
What Was Originally Planned
Both Paint the Night and Wondrous Journeys were originally scheduled to run through August 9, 2026 — the official end date of the Disneyland 70th Celebration. After August 9, both shows were expected to go away.
What Disney Just Changed
Disney has now officially extended both shows through August 20, 2026, aligning them with the D23 Fan Event happening at the Anaheim Convention Center August 14 through 16. The timing is clearly intentional — Disney wants the park's most spectacular nighttime entertainment running when the biggest Disney fans in the world descend on Anaheim for D23. And that is an excellent call.
Paint the Night Parade will perform at 8:45 PM and 10:45 PM nightly through August 20. Wondrous Journeys — the projection and fireworks spectacular that has painted Sleeping Beauty Castle, Main Street, the Rivers of America, and It's a Small World with scenes from 60 Walt Disney Animation Studios films — runs nightly through August 20 as well. After August 20, both shows go into the Disney vault for an undisclosed period of time. Probably a while. Enjoy every performance between now and then.
What Comes After August 20
When the 70th entertainment wraps, World of Color — ONE makes a limited-time return to Disney California Adventure beginning August 10 and running through the Halloween season. And of course, Wondrous Journeys hands the fireworks baton to Halloween Screams beginning August 21 when HalloweenTime officially kicks off. The entertainment calendar is thoughtfully programmed all the way through the fall.
🎃 OOGIE BOOGIE BASH 2026 — THE BIGGEST NEWS DUMP OF THE SEASON
Disney just dropped the most comprehensive Oogie Boogie Bash 2026 reveal yet, and there is a LOT to be excited about. Tickets go on sale this week — and with 33 nights on the calendar running August 18 through October 31, this is the biggest Bash in the event's history. Here is everything you need to know.
Brand New: Madame Leota's Swinging Wake — A Haunted Mansion Street Party
The headline entertainment announcement for 2026 is the brand-new Madame Leota's Swinging Wake — A Haunted Mansion Street Party, replacing the longtime fan-favorite Frightfully Fun Parade. This new street spectacular features iconic characters from the Haunted Mansion attraction — including Madame Leota herself — in a theatrical, immersive procession with multiple show-stopping moments. Concept art shows Madame Leota conducting her séance, with ghosts dancing in a swinging wake that pulls directly from the most beloved scenes of the ride: the stretching room, the ballroom, and the graveyard. This sounds absolutely extraordinary, and the bar for Oogie Boogie Bash entertainment just got raised significantly.
A quick note for fans of the Frightfully Fun Parade: with the new Coco boat ride beginning construction this fall, the Parade route through DCA is expected to be impacted — which is the primary reason for the change. The Frightfully Fun Parade may return in future years once construction is complete.
New Dessert Party for Madame Leota's Swinging Wake
For guests who want guaranteed prime viewing of the new street party, a new Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party will be available with an enhanced viewing experience. The dessert spread features a new selection of treats themed to Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. Reservations will open later this summer on Disneyland.com.
Returning Favorites and New Halloween Overlays
Beyond the new street party, Oogie Boogie Bash 2026 brings back the beloved trick-or-treat trails with villains and rare characters, immersive themed décor throughout DCA, and the full suite of seasonal Halloween overlays across both parks during HalloweenTime including:
· Haunted Mansion Holiday featuring a brand-new gingerbread house design in the ballroom
· Guardians of the Galaxy: Monsters After Dark
· Mater's Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi's Honkin' Haul-O-Ween at Cars Land
· Halloween Screams nighttime fireworks spectacular at Disneyland Park on select nights
· Mickey's Trick and Treat show at DCA
The Special D23 Members-Only Bash Night — September 27
Here is a detail that D23 members need to know immediately: Sunday, September 27, 2026 is an exclusive Oogie Boogie Bash evening reserved only for D23 members, with tickets available on June 16 at D23.com. This is a rare members-only event night and quantities are extremely limited. If you are a D23 member and Halloween is your season — set an alarm for June 16 and have D23.com ready.
VIP Tour Option — Starting August 30
New for 2026, starting August 30, guests can experience Oogie Boogie Bash as part of a full VIP Tour package. This includes Park Hopper admission, event tickets, a dedicated VIP Tour Guide customizing your experience, expedited attraction access, an exclusive VIP Lounge experience at Carthay Circle Restaurant, and more. For groups who want the ultimate Bash experience, this is worth looking into on Disneyland.com.
Ticket Sale Dates — Mark These Right Now
Here is the full Oogie Boogie Bash 2026 ticket sale schedule:

With 33 nights on the calendar, there is more availability than any previous Bash year — but early dates, weekends, and October 31 will still sell out fast. Early dates in August tend to be less crowded and offer the best experience overall. Have your Disneyland login ready and your credit card information saved before each sale date.
🎢 ATTRACTIONS — CLOSURES, REOPENINGS & THE SUMMER LINEUP
Current Closure Snapshot
Here is the full refurbishment picture heading into this week:
· Pirates of the Caribbean — Still closed since May 4, anticipated return late June or early July
· Silly Symphony Swings (DCA) — Closed since April 27, no return date announced
· Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind (DCA) — Still unexpectedly closed, no visibility on return
· Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters — REOPENS FRIDAY JUNE 12! 🚀
Everything else — Indiana Jones, Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, Matterhorn, Galaxy's Edge, Radiator Springs Racers, Incredicoaster, Toy Story Midway Mania, Grizzly River Run, Jungle Cruise, the Monorail, Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin, and the Millennium Falcon — is open and running beautifully. Summer at Disneyland is in fantastic shape.
Grad Nite Wraps June 12 — DCA Returns to Normal Evening Hours
Great news for evening park visitors: Grad Nite season officially ends June 12 — the same day Buzz Lightyear reopens. After Friday, Disney California Adventure will no longer be closing early on weeknight evenings for student events, and the park's evening atmosphere returns to its standard summer energy. No more checking the Grad Nite calendar before your DCA evening plans.
🗝️ MAGIC KEY — RENEWAL DINING CARD, SUMMER HOTEL DEAL & OOGIE BOOGIE PRE-SALE
Renewal Dining Card — Still the Best Perk of the Season
The Magic Key renewal dining card launched May 27 and remains active through May 26, 2027. Renew your pass during that window and receive a complimentary Disney Dining Card based on your tier: Inspire Key $100, Believe Key $75, Explore Key $50, Imagine Key $25. The card is emailed within 72 hours of renewal and works like a Disney gift card at participating resort food and beverage locations — but remember, it is not valid at Downtown Disney District restaurants. For families renewing multiple passes, each renewal generates its own separate card.
Oogie Boogie Bash Pre-Sale — June 16 & 17
Magic Key holders get first access to Oogie Boogie Bash 2026 tickets before the general public. Inspire Key holders go first on June 16 at 9 AM Pacific. All other Magic Key tiers — Believe, Explore, Enchant, and Imagine — can purchase starting June 17 at 9 AM Pacific. The virtual waiting room opens at 8:45 AM on both days. General public tickets go on sale June 18. Be ready early — popular dates will move quickly even with 33 nights on the calendar.
Summer Hotel Discount — Still Available
The summer hotel discount remains active for stays through September 7, 2026. Magic Key holders save up to 20% on select Sunday through Thursday nights. General guests can save up to 25% on premium rooms at the Grand Californian, Disneyland Hotel, and Villas, and up to 15% at Pixar Place Hotel. The Magic Key booking window runs through August 25. If a summer on-site stay is in your plans, lock it in now — popular dates and room types fill steadily as summer builds.
🏨 RESORT HOTELS — SUMMER DINING, NIGHTTIME VIEWS & PLANNING TIPS
Blue Bayou — Modified Experience While Pirates Remains Closed
Blue Bayou Restaurant continues to be open and accepting reservations, but the modified experience while Pirates of the Caribbean is under refurbishment remains in effect. The bayou view into the ride is obstructed and the boats are not floating past your table. The candlelit ambiance, the food, and the general magic of dining inside a Disneyland attraction are all very much present — but if the full classic experience is what you are after, waiting until Pirates returns may be worth considering. Book through the Disneyland app.
GCH Craftsman Bar — Best Summer Evening Spot at the Resort
The GCH Craftsman Bar at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is serving its summer cocktail menu and remains one of the most genuinely special experiences at the entire resort for adult guests. The Arts and Crafts architecture, the warm amber evening light, and a beautifully crafted seasonal drink menu make this a perfect pre-park or post-park stop. Walk-in availability is usually good on weeknights — weekend evenings benefit from a reservation.
🏰 DOWNTOWN DISNEY — YARDFEST IS FRIDAY & THE TRANSFORMATION ROLLS ON
Disney On the Yard — Yardfest: THIS FRIDAY, JUNE 19
Disney On the Yard — Yardfest: Powered by Celebrate Soulfully arrives at the Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage this Friday, June 19. This free community event celebrating Black culture, music, and community features live performances, step shows, and vibrant community entertainment. No park ticket required — just show up to the District and let the energy take you. Full performance schedule will be in the Disneyland app.
District Transformation Update
Downtown Disney's 2026 transformation continues to build momentum. Here is the current status:
· Earl of Sandwich — Permanent two-story flagship, construction nearing completion

The Disneyland 70th Anniversary Finale Collection — deep purple tones, Swarovski crystal ear headbands, Spirit Jersey, and marquee-inspired apparel — is available now at Elias & Co., World of Disney, and select resort shops while supplies last. The celebration ends August 9 and the Finale Collection is the last major merchandise push of the entire anniversary year. Items will not be restocked once they sell through.
Pride Nite 2026 Exclusive Merchandise — Event Only, June 16 & 18
The Pride Nite 2026 exclusive collection — new-design hoodie, tumbler, and trading pin — is available only at the event on the two nights. No online sale, no in-park availability outside of the event. Arrive during the 6 PM mix-in window and head to merchandise locations before the main crowd arrives. After June 18, this collection is permanently gone.
Toy Story 5 Merchandise — Arriving This Week at Select Locations
With Toy Story 5 hitting theaters June 19, Disneyland Resort is rolling out Toy Story 5-themed merchandise at select locations this week.
