Hello, Disney fans!

Zenfinity Disney Resort Update

Week of April 12–19, 2026

Disney Channel Nite is HERE, Earth Month is in full bloom, and the Food & Wine Festival is counting down its final days. Let's make every minute count.

🎉  THE BIG PICTURE THIS WEEK

This is one of those weeks where the Disneyland Resort genuinely has something for every kind of Disney fan. Families get Earth Month magic woven through both parks and all three hotels. Nostalgia seekers get Disney Channel Nite. Foodies are squeezing every last bite out of the Food & Wine Festival before it closes April 27. And Star Wars fans are counting down Friday drops like they're tracking hyperspace coordinates. Whether you're heading to the parks this week or living vicariously through your favorite newsletter — we've got you covered.

🎢  DISNEYLAND PARK — EVENTS, CLOSURES & WHAT'S WORTH YOUR TIME

Disney Channel Nite — April 12, 14 & 16

The moment Disney Channel fans have been waiting for all spring is officially here. Disneyland closes to general guests at 8 PM on all three nights, with the After Dark party running 9 PM–1 AM. Ticket holders get early entry starting at 6 PM, shorter wait times, exclusive food and merch, unlimited PhotoPass downloads, and a commemorative gift.

The entertainment lineup is stacked. The High School Musical – ZOMBIES Pep Rally is a high-energy street show that will have you dancing whether you planned to or not. DescenDANCE near the Rivers of America lets the VK dancers show off their wickedest moves, the Camp Rock Sing-Along at the Golden Horseshoe is pure joy for anyone who grew up belting "This Is Me" into a hairbrush, and Disney Channel Rocks ties it all together as a concert-style celebration of the channel's most iconic music.

The character lineup is genuinely special: Penny Proud is making her Disneyland Park debut at this event — a first-ever appearance you won't find on any regular park day. She's joined by Kim Possible, Lilo & Stitch, Baloo, King Louie, Phineas, Ferb, and Agent P. Tickets start at $159 on the Disneyland website. If you've been on the fence — this is your sign.

Ride Closures — Plan Before You Go

Spring refurbishment season is still in full effect. Checking the app before you map your day is more important than ever right now. The current closure rundown: Jungle Cruise has been closed since February 17 with no announced return date. The Disneyland Monorail is down since March 30 for infrastructure work on support pillars and electrical systems. Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters closed April 13 with no return timeline. Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind at Pixar Pier remains unexpectedly closed with zero visibility on return.

The good news: Galaxy's Edge, Haunted Mansion, Indiana Jones, Space Mountain, Matterhorn, Radiator Springs Racers, Incredicoaster, and all the major headliners are open and running. The magic is very much alive — just check the app first.

Hyperspace Mountain Returns April 28 — Mark Your Calendar

Coming up fast: The beloved Star Wars overlay of Space Mountain — returns on April 28, putting you right in the middle of a space battle between a Star Destroyer and a swarm of TIE fighters. It's one of the most fun seasonal overlays the park runs, and it lands just ahead of the Galaxy's Edge timeline expansion on April 29. Late April is shaping up to be a genuinely excellent time to be in the parks.

🌊  DISNEY CALIFORNIA ADVENTURE — FESTIVAL, EARTH MONTH & MORE

Food & Wine Festival — Final 2 Weeks, Don't Sleep on It

We are in the home stretch. The DCA Food & Wine Festival closes permanently on April 27, and some of these limited-time flavors won't be back until next year. If the Ramen Mac & Cheese at Peppers Cali-ente, the Ube Latte with Matcha Foam, the Pandan Milk Tea with coconut cold foam, or the Strawberry Horchata are still on your list — this is your final window.

Weekend Beverage Education Seminars at Sonoma Terrace continue through April 26 every Saturday and Sunday at $30 per person. These 30–40 minute guided sessions with expert winemakers and Disney mixologists are one of the most underrated experiences on resort property. Book ahead — walk-ups are rarely available. Live entertainment continues at the Palisades Stage on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through closing weekend. Check the Disneyland app for this week's performer lineup.

Zero Waste Art Challenge — A Hidden Gem Worth Seeing

Under the Silly Symphony Swings at DCA this week, you'll find one of the most unexpectedly charming displays in the whole resort: the annual Zero Waste Art Challenge, where cast members transform trash and recycled materials into incredible works of art. This year's theme is "Bears, Bees, and a Bit of Magic" — and with 2026 marking 100 years of Winnie the Pooh, the Pooh-themed submissions are reportedly adorable. Vote for your favorite in the Disneyland app by searching "Earth Month." Free, fun, and genuinely impressive.

🌿  EARTH MONTH — STEP INTO WONDER ALL APRIL LONG

National Geographic Pop-Up at All Three Hotels

All three Disneyland Resort hotels — the Disneyland Hotel, Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and Pixar Place Hotel — are hosting a National Geographic-themed experiential pop-up right now. Iconic Nat Geo Yellow Border photo ops, lawn games, California wildflowers, and nature-meets-Disney energy that genuinely makes you stop and breathe for a moment. A beautiful slice of Earth Month for guests staying on-site, available any time of day.

WALL-E at Pixar Place Hotel — Every Wednesday This Month

WALL-E is making special appearances every Wednesday in April at Pixar Place Hotel for Earth Month. WALL-E is one of the rarest character meets in the entire Disney universe — he typically only appears at ticketed events — and he's presented as a full Audio-Animatronic figure, not a traditional costume character. If you're staying at Pixar Place Hotel this week, this is a genuinely once-in-a-blue-moon moment. Check with the hotel concierge for exact appearance times.

Disneynature's Orangutan — Streaming on Disney+ This Earth Day

The perfect Earth Day night-in: Disneynature's new film Orangutan premieres on Disney+ on April 22, narrated by Disney Legend Josh Gad. The film follows Indah — a young orangutan in the rainforest canopy of Southeast Asia — setting off on her own for the very first time. Grab your favorite DCA festival snack and settle in.

🏨  RESORT HOTELS — SPRING PERKS & ELEVATED STAYS

Goofy's Kitchen Spring Garden Buffet — Now Running

Goofy and friends have swapped their regular outfits for their best garden-inspired looks, and the spring-themed character dining at Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel is running now through spring. If you have little ones who love character dining, this seasonal version adds an extra layer of whimsy to an already beloved meal. Reservations are strongly recommended.

Art of Pixar Gallery: Hoppers — Pixar Place Hotel

On the second-floor atrium of Pixar Place Hotel, the Art of Pixar Gallery is currently showcasing Hoppers — featuring original drawings, paintings, sculptures, and behind-the-scenes production footage from Pixar's newest film. It's completely free and walk-in for hotel guests. Well worth 20 minutes of your afternoon, and one of those hidden gems that makes an on-site stay feel extra special.

Hotel Discount — Book Before May 7

Friendly reminder: the Disneyland Resort hotel discount — up to 25% off select stays of three or more nights at the Grand Californian, Disneyland Hotel, Pixar Place Hotel, or the Villas — is valid for stays through May 21, 2026. You must book by May 7 to lock in the savings. If you've been thinking about a spring overnight stay, now is genuinely the time.

🏰  DOWNTOWN DISNEY — YOUR PERFECT PARK-ADJACENT ESCAPE

With early park closures on Disney Channel Nite event nights and a full refurbishment roster this week, Downtown Disney is your best friend. It's the resort's pressure valve — always open, always fun, and completely free to explore.

Jazz Kitchen Coastal Grill & Patio remains one of the most underrated dining experiences at the resort — open-air, lively, and genuinely excellent food. Beignets Expressed delivers powdered-sugar happiness on demand. Salt & Straw's creative seasonal flavors are always worth a stop, and World of Disney is your best single-location shopping destination for anything resort-related.

The Disney+ Throwback Dance Party continues every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through June 7 at the Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage, with DJ sets at Noon, 1 PM, 2 PM, and 3 PM — completely free, no ticket required. High School Musical, Hannah Montana, Cheetah Girls, Camp Rock — all of it. Show up and let the nostalgia wash over you. On the horizon: Earl of Sandwich's permanent two-story location and Arthur & Sons Steak and Bourbon are both still in development. Downtown Disney's transformation is ongoing and the finished picture is going to be really special.

🌌  MERCHANDISE — STAR WARS FRIDAY DROPS & 70TH CELEBRATION FINDS

Star Wars Friday Drop: Stormtroopers Collection — April 17

This Friday, the second weekly Star Wars countdown drop hits DisneyStore.com: the Stormtroopers Collection. Last week's Endor drop reportedly sold through fast, so if the white armor aesthetic is calling your name — be on DisneyStore.com at 8 AM Pacific. The remaining Friday drop schedule: April 24 brings the Jerseys Collection, May 1 brings the Podracing Collection, and May 4 is Star Wars Day itself.

May the 4th Logo Collection — In Parks April 27

The Mandalorian & Grogu May the 4th Logo Collection — featuring the zip hoodie, tee, tote, baseball cap, MagicBand+, and Ahsoka Tano pin — arrives in person at Disneyland Resort stores on April 27. Guests attending Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite on April 28 or April 30 get early shopping access, which is one of the best perks of those ticketed evenings. The Mandalorian & Grogu film hits theaters May 22, so the timing on all of this is very, very intentional.

Disneyland 70th Celebration Merch — Final Months

The 70th Celebration runs through August 9, 2026 — which sounds like plenty of time until you realize select items have been quietly selling through since mid-April. The D-Lander Shop and World of Disney in Downtown Disney are your best bets for the full collection. If something catches your eye, don't assume it'll be there next month.

Food & Wine Festival Merch — Last Call

With the festival closing April 27, the exclusive merch — the tie-dye spirit jersey, the Chef Goofy tee, the festival ear headband, and the Chip 'n' Dale "Here for the Snacks" collection — will all be gone when the booths close. This week and next are genuinely your last chance.
