Disney Channel Nite Begins + Major Ride Closures This Week

Buzz Lightyear is closing, Star Wars merch is dropping, and the festival countdown is on.

Hello, Disney fans!

✨ Zenfinity Disney Resort Update

Week of April 5–12, 2026

Pixie dust, festival bites, galactic merch drops, and the most nostalgia-packed after-hours party of the season — let’s jump into everything happening around the Disneyland Resort this week.

🎉 THE BIG PICTURE THIS WEEK

Spring has fully taken over the parks, and the energy is everywhere.

Right now three major things are shaping the Disneyland experience:

• The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival entering its final stretch
• The return of fan-favorite attractions and temporary ride closures
• The kickoff of Disneyland After Dark: Disney Channel Nite this weekend

Add new Star Wars merchandise releases every Friday leading up to May the 4th, and the resort feels busier than ever.

If you enjoy Disneyland during its most vibrant season, this is one of the best weeks of spring to visit.

🎢 ATTRACTIONS

What’s Open, What’s Closing & What to Know

🎯 Toy Story Midway Mania — Currently Closed

Toy Story Midway Mania! closed on April 6 for refurbishment.

Why this matters:

• It’s one of the park’s most popular interactive rides
• Families often ride it multiple times per visit
• No reopening date has been announced yet

Good news: Disney previously upgraded the attraction’s digital visuals for the 70th celebration, so it will likely return looking sharper than before.

🚀 Last Chance to Ride Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters

Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters closes April 13 for refurbishment.

If blasting Zurg’s targets is on your park checklist, this weekend is your final opportunity.

Why this closure matters:

• It’s one of Tomorrowland’s few interactive rides
• It’s a classic family competition attraction
• No reopening timeline has been announced yet

🐘 Jungle Cruise Still Closed

Jungle Cruise has been closed since February 17.

No reopening date yet — but when it returns, expect refreshed sets and possibly maintenance updates to the river system.

Until then, the world-famous skippers are presumably practicing their terrible jokes somewhere.

🎠 Silly Symphony Swings — Closing Soon

Silly Symphony Swings closes April 27.

Why ride it now:

• One of the best views of Paradise Gardens Park
• Inspired by Disney’s classic 1935 cartoon “The Band Concert”
• A relaxing ride between bigger attractions

If you enjoy breezy scenic rides, this is a must before it goes down.

🌄 Soarin’ Over California — Limited Return Continues

Soarin' Over California remains available through July 1, 2026.

This version celebrates California landmarks like:

• Yosemite National Park
• Napa Valley vineyards
• The Pacific coastline

Fun fact: the famous orange grove scent used in the ride has become one of Disney’s most recognizable attraction smells.

🍽️ FOOD & DINING

Festival Season Is Entering the Final Stretch

The Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival ends April 27, which means the next few weeks are your last chance to try many of the seasonal dishes.

Ube Latte with Matcha Foam

• Sweet purple yam latte
• Topped with creamy matcha foam

Ramen Mac & Cheese — Peppers Cali-ente

• Furikake seasoning and chile crisp
• One of the most surprising flavor combos of the festival

Pandan Milk Tea — Lucky Fortune Cookery

Why these festivals matter:

• They test potential future park menu items
• They highlight California-inspired cuisine
• They give guests dozens of small tasting options

✨ Zenfinity Disney Closing Thought

Spring at Disneyland always brings a mix of festival food, special events, and ride refurbishments.

Think of it like a house being renovated while a party is happening:

• Some rooms are temporarily closed
• New experiences keep opening
• And there’s always something exciting around the corner

Right now the parks are full of those “limited-time” moments that make Disneyland visits feel special.

And if you’re planning a visit soon…

Don’t miss the festival food, ride Soarin’ while you still can, and maybe start saving space in your closet for those Ewok shirts. Thanks for riding along with me on this magical issue of Zenfinity Disney!
I love sharing the parks with you — the food, the fun, the chaos, the sparkle, and all the little surprises that make Disneyland and DCA feel like home. Keep finding the magic in every corner, every snack stand, and every ride queue. Even the long ones. Especially the long ones

 ✨🏰Until the next adventure…

Keep your ears up, your snacks ready, and your magic glowing —
